Locating The Most Up To Date Witchcraft Spells Is Necessary

By Kimberly Walker

Witchcraft spells can deal with love, money and healing. There can be black, white or gray magic. White magic is based on the principle of not using sorcery to harm others. Black magic sends out evil, but beware because Wiccans believe that the laws of the universe mean that the evil will come back to the spell caster. Gray magic is white magic turned black. Witches should use divination before using their spell workings. This will show the results of a spell before it is cast, and allow the witch to avoid evil outcomes from a spell cast with good intent.

Potions and philtres use concoctions of herbs and extracts or excretions from animals (eye of newt and wing of bat if Shakespeare's Macbeth is to be believed). One example is "Come-to-me oil" made from the essential oil of sweet pea diluted with perfume diluant. Confusion oil is a combination of vetwert, lavender, galangal and a burnt, black knotted shoelace.

One common potion produced in the cauldron, chalice or cup of a witch is "come to me oil", just one of many love or lust evoking brews that witches make for their "customers". A witch might also ferment confusion oil to break curses or hexes by confusing the rival spell-caster. These mixtures are examples of white magic generated by herbalism.

Yule is the celebration of the winter solstice. It is a pagan holiday. In Roman times it was celebrated as Saturnalia and green boughs were brought indoors.

The cycles of the moon and seasons are important to magical workings. Ritual dances and chants are used to waken the sleeping earth as winter turns to spring. Covens of witches form circles at Samhain or Beltane to invoke ancient deities such as Herne, Baldur or Freyja.

Witches may use animal familiars in cabbalistic practices such as astral projection, channelling or scrying. Other forms of divination include Tarot card or tea-leaf readings. Runes and crystal balls can also be used. Psychics deal with astrology, numerology and automatic writing. The Ouija board is another device to aid in these "dark arts".

Wands, cauldrons, cups, chalices, candles, bells, knives, pentacles, censers, brooms and "books of shadows" are invaluable apparatus in the witch's arts. As an originally fertility-based religious conviction, Wicca uses many phallic symbols. Knives, candles and wands are all male representations of the Wiccan god. Cauldrons represent the womb. The bringing together of the male and the female re-enacts the congress of the god and goddess which brought the universe into being.

Ritual or sacred sex is used in some witchcraft spells as a means of creating vigour and supernatural forces. Any form of sexual relief, including masturbation may augment the potency of a spell. In a similar vein, menstrual blood from a witch can be spilled on the earth for fruitfulness. There are countless books on how to learn magick spells, however, it must be done with care, people who are new to the topic should stay clear of the dark side.
