HR placements form a critical foundation for students undertaking the course of human resource within the universities and colleges. This is a mere temporal form of employment for such scholars. They are trained while still in school during summer and winter holidays. Normally, these placements are for experience purposes hence little pay could be offered to them. This is a pay for transport and other miscellaneous expenses they incur while on the internship program.

These students play vital roles in ensuring that the management of all employees is carried out with ease. Key areas of operation are usually analyzed to them through the human resource department. Among the activities they carry out is that of working on vacancies within the association. This involves carrying out adverts in local Medias and on the internet on the available employment opportunities. Once the applications are received, it is up to them to group them in different groups using the recommended criteria.

After sorting, they do away with all those that do not meet the stated qualifications. It is important to note that all these tasks are carried out with the assistance and supervision of their management team within the human resource department. Additionally, they come in handy in orientation of new employees once they have been taken aboard.

Once hiring has been done, they play a vital role in orientation of new employees into the association. This mandate falls squarely in their department of operation. Here, they make sure that these new workers are comfortable. Comfort means introducing them to the other workers in all the departments or even giving them a tour round the offices of such entity in the company of their superiors.

All in all, they are given the mandate to ensure smooth and efficient running of the organization as far as the other employees in other departments are concerned. This means that they take attendance lists on a daily basis when it comes to reporting time and exiting the offices in the evening. They are therefore given the sub supervisory role under the influence of the managerial team in the HR department.

With the collaboration of the security department interns under this program ensure safety of employees and their property once within the premises of the organization. Here, we are referring to adherence to the given laws and regularities which govern security matters in the institution. They assist the management in ensuring that these by laws are obeyed thus, providing a work friendly environment.

All these areas require minimum skills and expertise for them to be achieved. The interns have to be good in communicating with the other employees and have cordial working relationships. It is important for them to have knowledge on how they can deal with different characters and attitudes.

At the end of HR placements, the interns will have gained the basics of job performance of any given organization. This makes such an initiative a must for such students once they are nearing completion of their courses. They become well equipped in terms of confidence and running things out within the offices. Besides, they are aware of the requirements and terms of employment for employers. Once the complete their studies, it becomes an easy target to achieve.
