How Dry Cleaning Equipment New York Works

By Jaclyn Hurley

Everybody wants to wear clean clothes when at home or out at work. This brings more comfort and acceptability from other people. There are different ways of making clothes clean. Some involve use of hands and soap. In the modern world however, machines have been invented and put in use to do almost any job man requires. Some of these are used to clean and dry clothes. It is thus of good benefit to have some information about dry cleaning equipment new york.

Different components are combined into a whole machine capable of carrying out the two functions of cleaning and drying out laundry. Older equipment could not perform both tasks. This ability to perform multiple tasks has led to decreased time wastage and also less amount of soap is used which saves money.

The main part of the machine is the perforated basket which is made of metal. Dirty laundry is put into it after the clothes have been sorted out. This basket rotates in a circular motion and this causes the dirty clothes to tumble into each other. The tumbling action helps to get the soil from the laundry. The same rotating movement is used to drain water from the clothes. It is equivalent to wringing clothes with the hands.

After the washables have been cleaned by tumbling action. They are rinsed. Water gets into the basket through the perforations and rinses the clothes. This gets the solvent away from the washing. The water with the solvent is taken to a special part of the machine where it is separated. Thus solvent and water are obtained. Solvent is reused which protects the environment and saves money by reducing wastage.

A high speed spinning action is initiated after rinsing. This drains as much water as possible from the clothes. The spinning action lasts for a while which has been set by the manufacturer. At the end of this cycle, the clothes will be wet but not dripping with water.

Warm dry air is pumped into the container and it penetrates into the wash. It is also pumped out when it is full of moisture. By this action, the water content reduces gradually until eventually the clothes are dry and ready for ironing and wearing. Moist air extracted from the clothes is passed into a chamber where moisture turns back to water and soap is separated from liquid water and reused.

Something else found in the machine is the control. It is used to set water temperature as well as the time washing will take. It can also be used to stop the washing process temporarily or completely. Pumps are also incorporated into the machine and they force water from one place to another. Filters clean the solvent used so that it can be reused. What makes it possible to separate water from the solvent is the fact that the two have different densities and thus do not mix.

This is how dry cleaning takes place. The different parts are all necessary for the completion of the job. They all have unique roles to play. With this information, dry cleaning will not seem so strange any more.
