Do not throw away an old pallet because you will never know that they could be made into something that could be useful around the house. Although pallets may not have the best kind of wood around, they could still be made into furniture around the house.

A pallet is used by shipping companies only once. This makes them very wasteful of wood. Save the environment and trees by making sure that the pallet is used more than once. They could be used as simple furniture around the house, or as trays as well. Throwing it away should be the last resort.

The most usual transformation that happens to the pallet is when they make it into a coffee table, or any table there is. They take the pallet and attach legs or wheels to the bottom. You can also install high legs for a study table for your child. Just make sure that the top is flat and smooth by adding a glass that is the exact same size as the pallet. You could also opt to have it low in front of the sofa with just two layers of pallets stacked on top of each other.

Shelves are also a good way to recycle these crates. You can make a wine counter, or a liquor bar in your living room if you craft these crates creatively. The glasses could be hung on the gaps made by the wooden planks. There are so many techniques on which you can have a very organized cabinet with the pallets.

You may turn it into a bed base if you'd like. Stack six to four pallets on top of each other so that you can form a structure of a bed. Attach some wheels at the bottom so you can maneuver the bed around the room. Or if you'd like the bed to be elevated, you can install some legs that could support the weight of the bed. Pile the mattress on top of the newly made bed, and you now have a comfortable nest made out of pallet wood.

You could also use the wood in your garden as well. They make lovely installments for small plants and succulents. Attach the wood to the wall and insert small succulents in between the gaps. There are lots of DIYs online so you know how to go about it properly.

You could also set these up to build a beautiful fence around your garden. They make a sturdy barrier, one that could also be decorated and painted if you wish. An isolated part of your garden could also be built by the wood, and would make for a nice herbal part of your garden.

You may also use them as hangers for pots above the kitchen stove. They make a pretty arrangement while keeping your pots and pans organizes. You don't have to throw out used pallets NJ, all you have to do is think of ways in which you can maximize the wood.
