Whenever your work involves sitting down behind a computer from 9-5 like me, you will understand that by 5.pm, your shoulders and neck are very tense. Although I have a gym program, it consists of the same workouts every day. Dancing offers a change of pace that is quite difficult. The various kinds of dancing moves make use of muscles that I didn't know I owned. By the end of the class, I usually discover that I am sweaty and completely energized.

Dancing can be one of the most fun ways to express yourself. For some people, to be able to express themselves is very important. In case you are one of those people, you should always try to find creative outlets. Many people love writing, painting, drawing and singing to express themselves. Furthermore, when you combine basic physical activity with emotional expression and music, you will get a wonderful way to alleviate stress. When you move and dance to the beat, you will be able to feel tension and stress flowing out of your body.

Dancing not only helps you to connect with the body, but it also gives you a better understanding of what your body is capable of. You cannot help but envy dancers who are so amazing in the graceful and confident manner in which they move their bodies. This is as a result of several years of practice. On the other hand, if you are not getting dance classes, you will feel disconnected with the rest of your body.

5) You get the chance to wear attractive dance clothing

This may appear very insignificant. Nevertheless, if you ever get the opportunity to pretend to be Jennifer Beals, why not go for it and have some fun.

6) It is scary

If you have never attended a dance class before, it can be quite challenging. If you need to take something on and improve yourself, taking a dance class will be the best way to do it. You will not only improve your flexibility or strength, but also your overall personality. Soon, dance can become an important part of your life.
