The Benefits Of Orlando Recycling

By Marjorie Vargas

The introduction of Orlando recycling project as a way of tackling the degradation of the environment has been the recent development in this named city as far as environmental conservation is concerned. This plan involves a number of aspects which highly emphasize on going green at all costs. As of such, issues of emerging dump-sites in unauthorized places, which were rampant sometime before, are no more. This is aimed at protecting Mother Nature from destruction of man.

This project is being funded by non governmental organizations and private companies. It is a scheme to collect all the waste products from homes and industries, and make use of them after a series of treatment procedures. Such things could be water, scrap metal, plastic and polythene bags, newspapers, clothes and wood.

For this to be possible; there has been an establishment of various recycling plants for all these garbage. These things are collected from the collection points using trucks. Collection points have necessitated a steep decline in emergence of unwanted dump-sites. When delivered to plants, this trash undergoes a series of cleaning procedures in order to remove the harmful living and non living things in them.

The biggest gain from this program has been improvements in dirt free environment. No odor or flies invasion has been reported in any part of this town. This is one that is clean having no dump-sites or sewage flowing along the roads thus; people are living in a healthy environment free from air, soil and water pollutions.

With a clean environment, this area has recorded a massive decline in the number of patients being admitted to hospitals due to diseases brought about by such trash. Cases of waterborne sicknesses such as typhoid, diarrhea and cholera are on very minimal levels. Such a drastic change creates a healthy people free from incurring unwanted medical expenses.

Creation of job opportunities is another benefit arising from this project. Many people have been employed as truck drivers, garbage collectors, technicians and engineers in these plants. Their services are what keep the industries running. They do this in exchange for a pay in form of wages and salaries thus; they are able to sustain themselves and their families at large.

The final benefit worth mentioning is that of recognition all over the world. Orlando has been placed on the world map as an area which is geared towards enhancement of going green. With this, it forms a case study for other states and nations to take a look at and try to emulate the citizens of this area for the good job being done. This tends to attract more people to visit this place with the aim of learning.

The Orlando recycling project has turned out to be the most successful ever in the entire world. Not only does it have good funding but also; the contributions of citizens in this area in terms of commitment and responsibility has been overwhelming. This is the best case study ever that if introduced in other places, the need and target of protecting the environment from our own destruction will be an achievable reality.
