Checklist When Buying Shotcrete Equipment

By Eula Nichols

There are many factors one should consider before buying shotcrete equipment. When done right, you can buy your equipment at the best prices and get good quality. Always start by checking the history of the company manufacturing the equipment. Look at how they handle customer complaints and their product return policy. Compare several suppliers before choosing one that impresses you. Do not just look at the prices, be all round.

Always check the company's history before buying anything from them. Good after sales services should be availed to all customers. If they have so many products being returned or breaking down then the quality if poor. Avoid such companies as much as you can as they will just mess up your projects.

The standard of quality you have in mind is very important. The seller should be able to meat or surpass your standard of expected quality in every way. A company that has good products will just stand out from the crowd and it will not be difficult to find such. Customer reviews and referrals are always there if the product is excellent. Make deep comparison of various companies based on customer reviews and customers service, quality among other factors.

Cost is usually a major factor in any sales for most people. However, one should always look at more than that. The kinds of employees making the equipments will give you a preview of the quality of the products they make. A company with very low routine costs compared to the competitors will surely give you poor quality products.

Always ask for a receipt for every purchase you make. This will save you a lot when it comes to repairs, returns or any other issue regarding the item purchased. Avoid those that don't issue receipts for sales as you are being left exposed. There is no claim you can make if you cannot prove you bought the item from them, even in a court of law.

The supplier should also be in a position to give a list of their past customers for reference purposes. You can use these to confirm the quality of the service and products they bought. They will also give you the price at which they bought the items so that you don't get overcharged due to ignorance. A list comprising of family members is not reliable as it is cooked to please you.

They should be able to give you a guarantee on the item for some time. A short guarantee simply tells you the quality is not that good. If they have a good reputation they will give you a long warranty and guaranty as they are insured for that. Don't buy an item that does not come with a guaranty that is long enough to allow you test the equipment.

The brand you are buying of shotcrete equipment should have a name at least in the market and not just another item that has no history. The process of evaluating the company and many others may take you time but it is better than buying useless equipment. Always be safe, only pay when you feel right about the item.
