Careful - How Thoughts Become Things

This is a quote from Abraham-Hicks and I think it can be applied to many subjects. It is a wonderful way of understanding how our thinking dramatically affects the manifestation of our goals, dreams and desires.

It doesn't matter what you are wanting for yourself, whether it is love, money, career success, health, abundance or well-being... If you approached these desires from a perspective of lack or it being out of reach from you, it will remain so, unless you shift your perspective, but quick.

"If you have a subject that makes you uncomfortable when you think about it, it means there is a strong desire related to it. Which means it really, really matters. So finding a way to think about it and feel good is your work. But it is equally effective to think about anything else and feel good, and let it in. You don't have to think about money in order to let in money. You just can't think about lack of money, to let in money."

Remember, you get what you think about...

So... if you want love, you cannot dwell on the lack of it, or focus on the negative aspects and still expect it to come into your experience. If you want money, you can't discuss being broke and believe it will miraculously start flowing to you. If you desire career success, you can't disparage your boss and think you will be rewarded by this person in the process.

What is happening when you do this, is you are sending muddled, conflicting messages to the universe, requesting and negating your desires at the same time. Naturally, the negative thought has the stronger energy attached to it, and that is what the universe hears and in turn, serves back to you more of what you don't want.

Your work is to become aware of this in yourself and be conscious of how you speak and what you say in regard to what you want for yourself. In essence, if you can't find anything empowering to say about these heavy subjects, then work to not think about them and whatever you do... do not, under any circumstance discuss these vulnerable issues with friends, family, peers and strangers either. Don't forget... 'misery loves company' too...

5 easy ways to turn your 'lack thinking" around

1. Stop complaining

This is probably a hard one for most because you probably don't even realize your doing it. But trust me, you are. And the way you know, is the way you feel about about the subject, which is safe to say is 'not inspired or motivated'.

2. Stop gossiping
Gossiping is really a form of complaining. But really what it does, is make you feel temporarily superior to someone by perpetuating low energy thinking. It also creates an impression of the 'haves' and the 'have-not's' and 'the grass is always greener' mentality, which is really just another rendition of 'lack of'.

3. Maintain an attitude of gratitude for what you have already

This one seems obvious, but not many people actually practice it, or things would be different for them. How hard is it to take a moment and reflect on all you do have. Being grateful is one ways we tell the universe "look how fortunate I am", "Look at all I have created for myself". It also reinforces our ability to create anything for ourselves when we give ourselves credit for what have already accomplished.

4. Embody how it feels to have your goals reached, dreams achieved, desire manifested

When you desire something for yourself, it is important we begin 'embodying' the total essence of that very thing you request. 'Embodying' is the personification or tangible representation of something. So for instance, if you dream of living in a house on the beach, 'embodying' that would mean fully experiencing it with your body, mind and senses. Hear the sound of the ocean, taste the salty air, smell the smoke of the fire burning.

5. Live "as if" your life is fully realized and everything you imagine for yourself is happening in the now and then watch them become one in the same

When you live "as if" you begin literally taking on the feeling, energy and vibration of that thing your desire and you begin thinking and operating "as if" those things are real for you, even though the physical manifestations have yet to appear. When you do this, you begin very purposefully closing the gap between where you are and where you want to be.

So if it is your dream to be, do or have something for yourself, then start dressing the part, speaking the part, emulating the enthusiasm you would have when it shows up and then sit back and watch your dreams materialize.
