The first thing you want to consider is are you dressed appropriately. If the position you're trying to apply for requires suits or dresses then you should done the same thing upon interview. If you're trying to apply for field work such as construction, mine, farm, etc then you can just put on casual wears.

If you resort for a suit on your interview then make sure it fits just right with your body. You should also consider the right color of a tie to match your suit. As they say "first impressions last" which is most likely the same with a job interview. You should be able to showcase your best in this process.

As soon as you have the suit part worked out, it is time to focus your attention on the company you're applying a job to. Research is always important. Get as much information on you can about the company that you're doing an interview for. Know what the company is aimed at. Their brand should be something that you know easily. What do they produce? Likewise, you should also be aware of any logos or slogans that they have. You should also know the most important persons in the company such as its president, founder, hiring manager and others.

Once you have done your research, you'll be able to answer questions regarding the company's info easily. Or, you can also incorporate some of the information that you have researched with the questions in the interview.

Of course, interview questions should also be something that you will need to research on. Most interviewers will ask you why you want to work for them. As soon as you've formulated a great answer for this, try to incorporate the information about the company that you have researched. Another question that can pop out in an interview would be your strengths as well as your weaknesses. To gauge your response as well as emotional reaction, they shoot out these kinds of questions. Be prepared for it. Think about you would say. Emphasize some deficiencies that most people have, so it doesn't draw that much attention to you.

They might ask you about your job experience. Should you have no other work experience yet, you can just specify your key skills and expertise and relate how it can help in your job. Be sure not to speak of false information. Speak to it only if asked and be honest.

After the interview is over, thank the person. Regardless of what happens, it is always good to thank the person who is interviewing you for the position. That gives the impression that you're still interested in the job, and that goes a long ways.
