If you've done Reiki 1, you can already channel Reiki. If you've done level 2, you've been introduced to distance Reiki, symbols, mantras and a more intuitive style of healing. So why go on? Why become a Reiki Master? What else is there to learn? Is it only for people who wish to teach Reiki? Is it simply an ego boost? This articles looks at six key ways - some practical, most spiritual - that becoming a Reiki Master can change your life.Work and Teach with Reiki,Okay, it's true this is a big reason why many people wish to become a Reiki Master, so let's look at the details.
To begin with, some practical considerations:First - and obviously! - Master Level teaches you how to attune others to Reiki energy. So from that basic point of view it is a necessary step in becoming a teacher.Good Master Level courses do more than just teach you the attunements, however, they also help prepare you for teaching. They discuss the challenges, potential pitfalls and opportunities involved, and they give you the chance to assists classes to gain experience.Next, becoming a Reiki Master gives you a kind of 'credibility' in the world. Now, I realize this seems superficial, but from a practical standpoint it's important. Because even if all you ever want to do with Reiki is work as a healer, you'll find more clients coming your way if you are a Reiki Master. The title gives prospective clients confidence and helps separate you from the other Reiki healers out there. That said, I'd never encourage anyone to do Master Level 'just for the certificate'.This, to me, would be a pretty miserable reason to do it.
A better bet is to start at the level of reiki one and then move up the line as I have described above. The minimum amount of time required to become a Reiki Master is about 3 months. And that would mean practicing each day and carrying out self healing each day.It may seem like a long time, but each day you will be finding out more about yourself and increasing your ability to use reiki with confidence and certainty.Reiki training is available in a number of different forms.Traditionally Reiki was taught in small classes or workshops for each level and this form of training can still be found. Some of the drawbacks are that the training is crammed into a couple of days and the classes can still be quite expensive.
you will be able to ask questions and you will meet other people who share your interest and your attunements to each level of reiki are carried out by the reiki master during the course.Reiki can also be studied at home with a distance learning course. There is an audio course available where the Reiki Master talks you through each section of the you reiki training.....and also provided you with written materials, self healing MP3s, diagrams and practice sessions. You also receive distance attunements to each level of Reiki and Certificates for each level.
Starting Your Reiki Training. The main point is that you can become a reiki master. The decision is which route you want to take.I took the home study option, simply because it fitted in with my life better and the cost was much less. And I have to say that I am very happy with the training I received. The course has excellent email support and friends who took the other option of the weekend class have told me that there is much more information in the distance learning package. And of course I have all of the talks in MP3 format so I can listen to them again if I feel there is something I missed the first time through. The main thing is this...If you want to learn reiki you should go ahead and get started. I found it to be a wonderful adventure and I now know that I can help both myself and others in a real and lasting way.
Energy Awareness. Here you will learn to better feel the ebbs and flows of energy, to feel energy outside of yourself.Advanced healing techniques, for instance psychic surgery and the like.Connecting to Spirit / The Flow. Everything you learn is in some way geared towards this blissful skill! Shift Your Energetic Vibration. One of the great advantages of shifting your energetic vibration is that it will bring you enhanced clarity in your life (for a detailed account of this, please read my recent article, R + M = C!).This clarity will help you make better decisions and will get rid of the angst often associated with indecision. The next critical reason you want to shift your energetic vibration is that it will bestow on both you and the world (!) greater inner calm, happiness and balance.
When a person wishes to become a master and teach pupils the therapy method, he has to pass through rigorous levels of learning the art himself. He has to prove that he is the best in the methods and only then will he be able to qualify for the master level certification. He has to devote a lot of time for practice and also learning the new methods and symbols. The master degree or the level where a person can become a master is difficult and hence all lower levels should be conquered.
The master is the final authority and hence he needs to be proficient in the art. He needs to be a mentor, a teacher and most of all an expert in the therapy methods. He has to attune all his students the art form in such a way that they become an expert very soon. He needs to help the students practice and master the lower levels of the art and only then will he be called a master in true sense.
True Mastery comes when you interact with clients, and in the moment have to make decisions and give advice that makes a difference. I advise students that their real learning begins the moment they take a client who they do not know. It is easy practicing on family and friends... the true learning comes with a walk in client you do not know. You gain awareness about your own ability, your confidence, knowledge, and ability to help others... you also get real life feedback about the Reiki you have given and how it feels.
Charity Work,If doing charity work is your thing, then becoming a Reiki master is a great step in the right direction. Not only will you gain access to far more opportunities due to your new credentials, you will also be able to empower anyone you meet with the gift of Reiki. As an example, right now I am working on a trip to Africa that aims to attune up to 1000 locals. For that purpose I need as many Reiki Masters as possible to accompany me.Could you be one of them?Whether anyone can become a Reiki Master in the truest sense of the term is debatable.Certainly the founder of Reiki, Mikao Usui, never saw himself as a realized master of the art. What Master Level really does, therefore, is initiate you into the realm of Reiki Mastership. It teaches your techniques and skills that you will then need to go away and work on for months, years and perhaps even the rest of your life.In that sense, you never really feel that you've 'made it' as a Reiki Master. But, with consistent practice, you do notice changes in yourself - sometimes big, sometimes small - that ultimately make a huge difference to the way you experience the world.
